Comment: The original description is based on an unspecified number of syntypes from "environs de Médéah" in Algeria ( FAUVEL 1872). TRONQUET (1999) designated a lectotype from "Teniet el Haad". Since this locality is not indicated in the original description, however, his lectotype designation is invalid. For illustrations of the sexual characters see TRONQUET (1999).
