Type Species — Khoratichthys gibbus , sp. nov.

Diagnosis — As for the type and only known species. Etymology — Generic name is derived from ‘Khorat,’ the local name of the city and province of Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand, which also gives the name to the Khorat plateau, and ‘ichthys,’ fish in Greek.
