Diagnosis: The species is similar to P. bresnieri (Lucas, 1846) , but differs in having a clearly longer embolus (compare Fig. 94 View Figs 94–97 with fig. 1 in Logunov & Azarkina 2006).
Description:
Male.
Measurements: Cephalothorax: length 2.2, width 1.4, height 0.7. Eye field: length 0.8, anterior width 1.1, posterior width 1.2. Abdomen damaged, not measured.
Specimen in poor condition, previously dehydrated. Carapace almost black, with lustre, eye field short; colourless translucent hairs cover carapace, dense long brown bristles on eye field. Abdomen badly damaged, dark. Ventral surface of body blackish. Legs black, only tarsi slightly lighter; leg hairs dense, dark. Pedipalps black, with two long thin tibial apophyses ( Figs 94–97 View Figs 94–97 ); embolus thin and long, extending beyond distal margin of cymbium ( Fig. 94 View Figs 94–97 ).
Female unknown.
Material examined: Maseru district: 1♂ Mohale Dam, Islands , 29°25'S 28°06'E, 2060 m, under rocks, 4.xii.2003, det. G. Azarkina ( NCA 2013 /3104) GoogleMaps .
Distribution: A species known from South Africa and Mozambique. In Lesotho, only recorded from a single central locality ( Fig. 102 View Fig ).
