Etymology. The specific name is Latin, meaning spot, referring to the dark spot in the middle of anterior scutal ridge of female genital area; noun.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to O. media Song & Xu, 1984 , but can be distinguished by the smooth posterior margin of the postgynum depression of females, bow-like in O. medius (compare Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 D and Song & Xu 1984: Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ) and by the different shape of distal part of male palpal bulb (compare Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A and Song & Xu 1984: Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ).

Description. Male (holotype). Yellowish brown species with yellow legs. Body length 1.53; carapace 0.67 long, 0.52 wide; abdomen 0.87 long, 0.62 wide. Habitus as in Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A, B. Carapace: elongated oval in dorsal view, sides with longitudinal streaks; dorsal area smooth with some hairs at lateral edges; pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 E); lateral margin rebordered. Eyes: six, well developed, ALE largest, PLE smallest; posterior eye row straight from above, procurved from front; ALE separated by less than their radius, ALE-PLE separated by less than ALE radius, PME touching throughout most of their length, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Clypeus margin unmodified; clypeus height about 1.2 times ALE diameter ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 F). Sternum longer than wide, uniform, fused to carapace; radial furrows present between coxae I-II, II-III, III-IV, with rows of small pits; surface smooth, without pits, microsculpture only in furrows. Anterior end of endites with a small, sharply pointed projection ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 D, E). Legs short, thick and spineless. Abdomen: dorsal scutum strongly sclerotized, punctate, covering full length of abdomen. Book lung covers large, ovoid, without setae. Pedicel tube short, ribbed, with small, dorsolateral, triangular extensions, scuto-pedicel region lower than diameter of pedicel, with nearly straight scutal ridges ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 G), scutum not extending far dorsal of pedicel. Sperm pore small, transverse; posterior spiracles connected by groove ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 H); posteriorly directed apodemes present. Palp ( Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 I, J, 7A–C): patella 0.29 long, 0.16 wide, attached to femur at 0.42; cymbium completely fused to bulb, no seam visible; bulb long and narrow, with distal tip slightly bent medially.

Female. As in male except as noted. Habitus as in Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A–C. Body length 1.66; carapace 0.69 long, 0.52 wide; abdomen 0.97 long, 0.56 wide. Endites without projections ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 F). Genitalia ( Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 J, K, 7D, E): in ventral view with a stick-shaped dark spot (sds) in the middle of the anterior scutal ridge of postgynum; postgynum depression narrow, as wide as the distance between the lateral apodemes; paddle-like sclerite (pls) with thin straight arms in dorsal view; nail-like process (nlp) well separated; globular appendix (ga) small.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality.
