Length and width: 12.25–14.10× 3.56–4.26 mm, (average: 13.2× 3.9 mm)

Area of head projection blade prolonged and fairly sharply pointed in dorsal view, its length is equal approximately half of its width. Frontal setae situated slightly behind level of lateral angles of frons in dorsal view. Frontal depressions large and wrinkled ( Fig. 2a ). Head projection blade pointed and not curved in lateral view. Dark margin of head projection blade conspicuously more robust in its central part in lateral view. Frons rises at a slight angle from projection blade. Lateral depression on head wide and rounded ventrocaudally ( Fig. 2b ). Distance between clypeal setae Cl 2 approximately 3.5× greater than distance of C1 2 from Cl 1. Setae Cl 1 and Cl 2 situated close to each other. Labrum and mandibles wide, labrum truncated at end ( Fig. 2c ). Cremaster long, relatively roundly pointed at end, anal suture distinctly shorter than cremaster in male ( Fig. 2d ).

Diagnosis. Pupa of Bembecia abromeiti similar to B. vulcanica , plate of head projection blade more elongated but not curved, as in B. vulcanica .

Biology. Univoltine. Host plants—Fabaceae: Astragalus balearicus Ch. , Lotus creticus L., cytisoides L.

Distribution. Endemic on Mallorca ( Laštůvka & Laštůvka 2001).
