Distribution

China (Anhui, Guizhou, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Tianjin) , Korea.

Diagnosis

Forewing length 4.5–5.5 mm. This species is similar to A. amplimacula , but can be distinguished by the dark grayish subapical patch on the forewing ( Figure 20 View Figures 19–25 ), the sacculus with an obtuse projection, the neck distinct ( Figure 43 View Figures 38–43 ), and the heartshaped sterigma ( Figure 63 View Figures 61–66 ). In A. amplimacula , the subapical patch is yellowishbrown; the sacculus has a sharp projection; the neck is indistinct; and the sterigma is funneled. It is also similar to A. comptana and differences between them are discussed under the diagnosis of that species.

Diagnosis

Forewing length 4.0–7.0 mm. This species is distinguished from its congeners by a white ovoid blotch of the tornus on the forewing ( Figure 21 View Figures 19–25 ). It is similar to A. hemicatharta , but can be distinguished by the triangular cucullus, and two projections on the ventral margin of the valva. In A. hemicatharta , the cucullus is kidney-shaped; and the valva has an obtuse projection on the ventral margin ( Figure 44 View Figures 44–48 ). The female genitalia are characterized by the robust papilla analis longer than the apophysis anterioris, the globularly sclerotized antrum, and the two large and strongly sclerotized signa occupying about 1/3 of the corpus bursae ( Figure 64 View Figures 61–66 ).
