Hydromanicus hermosus , new species group

This species group is recognized by species with the following character combination: (1) narrow and triangular apical lobe on segment IX, except in H. abiud Malicky & Chantaramongkol which has broad, short and rounded apical lobe on segment IX; (2) long, or medium-sized segment X; (3) one-branched, short preanal appendages; (4) broad ventromesal sub-apical keel on phallotheca absent, except a ventromesal hook located before apex in H. flavoguttatus Albarda and H. sempit Chantaramongkol & Malicky.
