Hydromanicus feminalis (Martynov) , new combination
Fig. 55–58
Hydatopsyche feminalis Martynov, 1934: 297 View in CoL .
Type locality. Russia (south-eastern Siberia) .
New Record: VIETNAM: Hoabinh towards Dabac, 21.x.1986 light [J. Oláh] - 3 males ( OPC, alcohol) .
Male. Forewing irregularly light-spotted. Venation typical for the genus. Forewing crossveins m-cu and cu separate. Sc and R separate. Cu2 and A separate. Hind wing Sc and R fusing before costa at crossvein s. Stem of M and Cu1 located distantly from each other. False vein of convolution running near and along stem of Cu1. Median cell open. Fork 1 present. Forewing length 8.0 mm, hind wing lenght 6.0 mm. Maxillary palp formula I-( III-IV)-II-V. Vertex ochraceous, with 7 large ochraceous setal warts. Small setose wart on proepisternum present, with larger setose area on precoxale (preepisternum).
Remarks: This is the only species in the genus having this latter, possibly primitive character, present. The species was described from South Ussuriland and Sutchan. Its occurrence in Vietnam was unexpected due to the long distance to the type locality. However, all 3 males collected in North Vietnam are almost identical
with the drawings by Martynov in the original description, as well as those by Ivanov (1997). Here we presented additional information on the morphology of the species.
