Hydropsyche luzonica , new species cluster
Fig. 121
The species in this cluster is characterized by having genitalia with a granulose median keel in low position, almost at level with the dorsum of segment X. Unique characters are presence of apicodorsal corners of segment X developed into a long, tapering, upcurving processes; and presence of an almost filled intersegmental depression. The apicodorsal setose process is very short, or reduced, into a setose area located basally on segment X. Furthermore, the coxopodites strongly exceeding the body of segment X, and lacking apicoventral setose lobes. The harpagones are broad at basis and very slender distally.
