Hydropsyche faurai species clade
The H. faurai species clade was established by Mey (2003). The species in the clade are characterized by having basis of the phallotremal sclerite fully sclerotized and completely surrounding the genital opening. The
phallotremal tongue is broad, flat and band-like, almost always with a bifid tip. The tip of the phallic apparatus consisting of membranous endotheca forming a pair of erectile lobes.
