Cheumatopsyche expeditionis View in CoL species group
Species group of shortened trilobed segment X with stepping and deep inter-segmental depression between segment IX and segment X. Ventroapical lobes are horizontal not upcurving. Shortening of the unsetose mesal lobe sometimes so much advanced that this bare middle lobe disappeares as a lobe and this reduction produces an almost bilobed configuration of segment X in dorsal aspect. However even in this case the unsetose mesal portion never has a concave apical margin in dorsal aspect as in the case of C. costalis species group. The inter-segmental depression between segment IX and segment X is characteristically stepping and deep. This species group distributed in the southeastern archipelago of the Oriental biogeoraphic regin, mostly in Philippine, Indonesia expanding to New Guinea and represented with a single species, C. modica McLachlan in Australasia. However a single species occurs also in the high mountain zone of Madagascar ( Oláh et al. 2008).
