Hydropsyche kitutuensi s (Marlier)
Cheumatopsyche kitutuensi s Marlier, 1962: 3.
Hydropsyche kitutuensis ( Marlier, 1962) , new combination
Type locality. Zaïre .
Remarks: Marlier (1961) found 2 females at Lake Kivu of an unusual Cheumatopsyche species having general habitus and size large like a Hydropsyche species. This species was described as Cheumatopsyche kitutuemsis Marlier, 1962 . Examining the 4 microscopic preparation of the holotype (median leg, wings, maxillary palp, dissected body with genitalia) revealed that it belong to Hydropsyche , except perhaps for the presence of an open median cell in the hind wing. Present typical Hydropsyche characters are forewing crossvein m-cu running far from the crossvein cu; in the hind wings the stems of M and Cu running parallel and very close to each other, almost touching. The setal wart pattern on the head dorsum is also typical for a Hydropsyche .
