Hydropsyche buergersi species group

This species group was established by Mey (1998a) to cover species with simply bent phallothecal basis; small phallotremal sclerites located on the apex of the phallotheca and mostly covered by a pair of sclerotized, large valves that are homolog with more or less fused, or movable sclerous endothecal processes; and presence of ventral membranous endothecal lobes. The group encompasses 4 species and is restricted to the Philippines, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
