Cheumatopsyche digitata View in CoL View at ENA species group
Species group of shortened segment X with elongated, almost filiform setose ventroapical lobe or rather a complex of lobes. One species C. simlex Kimmins form Ethiopia has a rather reduced short segment X however without any ventroapical lobe. Shortening of segment X is accompanied with reductionof the ventroapical lobe to just a short setose process or rather a setose wart. This species group is closest to species groups of bilobed segment X, but differentiated by the much longer ventroapical lobe and by the shortened body of segment X. Wart-like lateral setose area, the vestigium of preanal appendages located distad on segment X. This species group is distributed in Afrotropical biogeographical region except one species, C. thaba Mosely occurs in Yemen and another species C. ernestheissi Malicky was recently described from Brunei ( Oláh et al. 2008).
