Cheumatopsyche columnata View in CoL View at ENA species group
Species group of bilobed segment X with dorsal interlobular gap very narrow and shallow leading to an almost complete fusion of lobes into a monolobed segment X, like at C. contexta (Ulmer) and C. camena Malicky. Apical lobe on the posterolateral margin of segment IX not very developed. Second segment of inferior appendages usually short and excised in more species. One African species, C. usumbara new species has a ventrocaudal spiny lobe known only at Oriental species, although the spines are not as strong. Distributed in Oriental and Afrotropical biogeographic region, including Madagascar ( Oláh et al. 2008).
