Cheumatopsyche mahakaya species group
The species in this group are large to medium sized and have monolobed segment X, with dorsad curving apex and narrow interlobular dorsal gap. The species are restricted to Madagascar. The species are separated by the shape of the variously filiformed harpagones, and also by other minor character in the genitalia. Safe determination requires detailed study of the cleared genitalia but forewing characters may contribute to distinguishing the different species (see Table 4).
