Genus Morphna Shelford, 1910 View in CoL

Type species: Epilampra maculata Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1865 View in CoL , by subsequent designation.

Remarks: The genus Morphna includes relatively large and wide cockroaches ( Figs 1, 3 View Figs 1-9 ) in comparison with the vast majority of Epilamprinae . The genus is characterized by the structure of its hind tarsi ( Figs 14, 15 View Figs 10-20 ): metatarsus slightly shorter or about as long as other segments combined, with large euplantula along lower margin, tarsal spines few or absent.

Species included: As given in Beccaloni (2014), with the addition of M. indica Anisyutkin in Anisyutkin & Yushkova, 2017 and M. srilankensis Anisyutkin in Anisyutkin & Yushkova, 2017.
