TYPE: Vietnam, South Annam, Langbian Province, Dalat, 5, 000 ft. “Flowers pale violet, lip white streaked with dark violet”. April & May, 1918, C. Boden Kloss, s. n. BM001209924 ( BM!)

Description: Herb perennial, height up to more than 10 cm, rhizome stout, erect or oblique, nodes densely spaced. Petiole slender, 10–50 mm, stipules free, triangular-lanceolate, margin sparsely fimbriae. Leaf blade ovate or triangular-ovate, 15–35× 13–20 mm, base cuneate or broadly cuneate, sometimes shallowly cordate, margins sparsely serrated, apex acute. Stolons slender, producing leaves in node, usually smaller than basal ones. Peduncles slender, bracts 2, above the middle, nearly opposite, margin sparsely fimbriae. Sepals 5, lanceolate, base apex of basal appendage irregularly serrated, petals 5, pale violet-white, base of the lateral 2 petals glabrous, apex of anterior one acute, white streaked with dark violet, extending downward into a short spur, saccate, ca. 2 mm. Stamens 5, lowest two ones equipped with rectangular appendage projecting into the spur respectively. Style base slightly geniculate, gradually thickened upward, Capsule ovoid or ellipsoid, triquetrate. Flower and fruit were observed irregular year round under cultivation.

Distribution: Vietnam, new record in China ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ), Yunnan province, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Jinping Miao, Yao, and Dai Autonomous County, Hudiegu Scenic Area , 1000 m, on wet rock, in fruit, 22°46’50.82’’N, 103°29’40.06’’E, 15 Feb 2023, Wu Zhi-jin and Wang Zheng-wei, WZJ00833 ( CSH) GoogleMaps .
