Genus Anatrachyntis Meyrick, 1915 View in CoL
Anatrachyntis Meyrick, 1915: 325 View in CoL . Type species: Gracilaria [sic] falcatella Stainton, 1859 View in CoL , by original designation. Synonyms: Lacciferophaga Zagulajev, 1959 View in CoL ; Sathrobrota Hodges, 1962 View in CoL ; Amneris Riedl, 1993 ; Euamneris Riedl, 1996 .
The genus is characterized by forewings that are narrow to very narrowly lanceolate, with a ground colour usually reddish brown and with a pattern of irregular blackish brown and white streaks. The hindwings are very narrow and sharply pointed. In male genitalia, the brachia and anellus lobes are highly asymmetrical ( Koster & Sinev 2003). It has a nearly worldwide distribution, with 60 species found mostly in the Oriental Region, but also known from Australia, New Zealand, Africa, South Europe, and America ( Sinev 2002). In Korea, only one species, Anatrachyntis japonica Kuroko, 1982 View in CoL , has been recorded to date ( Park 1983; Sinev & Park 1994).
