Pararhabdepyris Gorbatovsky, 1995 , 4: 188. Type species: Pararhabdepyris paradoxus Gorbatovsky, 1995 , by monotypy.
Diagnosis. Head with subtriangular shape; antenna with ten flagellomeres; compound eye large; malar space with longitudinal groove; occipital carina absent; notauli present or absent; parapsidal signum present; forewing with costal vein absent or present; poststigmal abscissa of R1 vein and pterostigma present; one or three closed cells defined by tubular veins; 1Cu cell, when present, defined at least by nebulous veins; R cell longer than or as long as 1Cu cell; 1Cu cell almost rectangular; 2r-rs&Rs vein long and slightly curved ( Azevedo et al., 2018).
