Material examined. 1 male, China, Fujian Prov., Mt. Wuyi, 20.viii.2002, Coll. Sun Qinxia (light trapped); 8 males, 8 females, China, Jiangxi Prov., Shangrao City, Mt. Qian, 13.viii.2002, Coll. Sun Qinxia; 1 male, 3 females, China, Hainan Prov., Lingshui County, 4.v.1983, Coll. Zhang Yalin (light trapped) (NWAFU).
Distribution. China (Fujian, Jiangxi, Hainan, Taiwan), Central America, Africa, Mediterranean, India, Philippines, Australia, Caroline Islands, Polynesia.
Remarks. This species is similar to two species B. rosea and B. thaiensis in having posteroventral appendages on the pygoghore, but can be distinguished by the bifurcated apical appendages.
