Note. This species was based on specimens labeled “Fort-Crampel”, see also note in C. chevalieri (Alluaud, 1915) . Description (in part, see Alluaud, 1915a: 155). “Length 16.5–18 mm. Body posteriorly as well narrowing and acuminated near apex as in C. chevalieri Alluaud and distinctly less convex. Because of smaller statue and different shaped body, it does not resemble previously reported species [as C. bouvieri crampeli Alluaud, 1915 ] except C. chevalieri , which is more similar. Pronotum wide, less densely and grossly punctured, with posterior angles weakly elevated, with very indistinct indentation. Elytral striae punctured; intervals weakly convex, densely and quite grossly punctured. Yellow humeral fascia reaching from II to VIII interval, wide and located near base; macular anterior margin more or less equal, its posterior margin serrate, irregular, fascia compounds of spots, which contiquous, alternatively longer and shorter, prolonged posteriorly on intervals IV, VI and VIII, spots on intervals III, V, and VII less prolonged posteriorly, but often little prolonged anteriorly. Between a lot of specimens I have examined, I have seen a small rest of yellow preapical fascia. Venter sparsely punctured; metepisterna short” [from French].
Distribution. Central Cameroon, Central African Republic.
