Suffolk, Virginia, USA; stratum: uncertain; age: Miocene/Pliocene(?).

Type material.

Syntypes, ANSP IP1600, 1 shell (as “holotype” in Gardner 1948: 277, pl. 38, figs 24, 26), ANSP IP79768, 2 shells (all as “syntypes” in Moore 1962: 80; as “types” in Richards 1968: 165).
