D e s c r i p t i o n. The leaves are alternately attached, short petiolate, lamina narrow lanceolate, with suprabasal acrodromous venation. Broader leaf forms (PA 1174.1, 1395) are the exception.

D i s c u s s i o n. This laurophyllous representative of Lauraceae occurs quite commonly and in leaf morphology fits within this narrow-leaved lauroid fossil species, usually assigned to Cinnamomum SCHAEFF. It is widely distributed in the Palaeogene localities in North Bohemia.
