Habitat.
In riverbeds with gravel banks and stones, or on sandy ground close to water ( Werner 2000).
Phenology.
Unknown.
Distribution range.
Northeast Africa and the Arabian Peninsula ( Werner 2000). Horn (1931) already questioned the validity of the record from Port Said. Not listed by Alfieri (1976) for Egypt.
Distribution in the southern Levant.
No record. The nearest known population is found in Wadi Sharis ( Abdel-Dayem et al. 2003).
