Notes. During a comparison of the types of Exelastis crudipennis (Meyrick, 1932) and Exelastis bergeri Bigot, 1969 their conspecificity was found. Although C. Gielis (2011) synonymized Exelastis bergeri with Exelastis tenax (Meyrick, 1913) , this is questionable. Moreover, Exelastis tenax has already been synonymized with Exelastis pumilio (Zeller, 1873) ( Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich 2010) . New for Malawi.
