Described by Czerniavsky from Petropol, Sea of Azov, approximate coordinates 46.98°N 38.26°E. No material has been identified in ZIN-RAS. The combination is invalid on account of having four names (ICZN art. 45.5). As indicated above I propose to assign the specimen to the species Haliclona foraminosa ( Czerniavsky, 1880) View in CoL GoogleMaps .
