Type Locality: Uchami, Nizhnyaya Tunguska River, Krasnoyarskii Krai, Russia.
Vernacular Names: Turuchan Pika.
Distribution: From middle to lower Yenesei River eastward to middle Lena River and Lake Baikal; the Middle Siberian Plateau and adjacent Lena River basin ( Lissovsky, 2002).
Conservation: Not Evaluated.
Discussion: Subgenus Pika . This newly recognized species is widely sympatric with O. hyperborea over much of its range.
