Antioquia: Between Valdivia and Yarumal, 20 February 1942, Metcalf & Cuatrecasas 30122 (holotype US-fragment, photo F, isotypes GH, MO, UC).

Etymology: —Commemorates the now obsolete genus.

Distribution and habitat: — Colombia at 2200 m.

Remarks: —Only known from the type.
