Type material. Holotype ♂. MYANMAR: Dawei (14°4.272’ N, 98°15.913’ E) 179 m, 4 May 2018, Warrit N. et al. (ARA-2018-159) GoogleMaps . Paratypes 1 ♀ allotype, same data as holotype (ARA-2018-160) GoogleMaps ; 2 ♂, 2 ♀ Myanmar, Dawei (13°48.361’ N, 98°09.564’ E) 19 m, 3 May 2018, Warrit N. et al. (ARA-2018-177–180).

Diagnosis. Males differ from those of other Phlogiellus species, except P. moniqueverdezae , in possessing long white setae dorsally on tibiae and metatarsi I and II ( Fig. 1a View FIGURE 1 ) and from the latter species in the absence of a maxillary lyra and embolus process ( Figs 3b View FIGURE 3 , 5 View FIGURE 5 ). Females differ from those of P. moniqueverdezae in the less swollen tip of the spermathecae and the narrower spermathecal groove ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ).

Male Holotype; ARA-2018-159 (Measurements in mm): coloration (alive; Fig. 1a View FIGURE 1 ): carapace black, covered with short fine brown hair, lateral and posterior margins with curved brown bristles. Abdomen hirsute with reddish brown hair with black bristles and long white setae. Palp uniformly black. All pedal femora, patellae and tarsi black; distal tibiae and entire metatarsi covered with white setae, distinct on legs I and II. Body length: with chelicerae 18.08; without chelicerae 15.04. Carapace ( Fig. 2a View FIGURE 2 ): length to width 1.19 (6.56 length, 5.52 width). Etymology. .—The specific epithet refers to the type locality, Dawei City, Myanmar.

Distribution and natural history. Phlogiellus daweiensis sp. nov. was found in two localities more than 50 kilometers apart and divided by the Dawei River, both localities are in Dawei, Myanmar. All specimens were found in soil burrows on man-made road cuttings. Adult male specimens were found in their natural habitats in early May that might be correspond to their breeding season.
