A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Lagomorpha : Leporidae , but they have also been collected from Carnivora : Mustelidae . Adults and nymphs have been recovered from Mammalia (several orders); adults alone have been taken from Accipitriformes : Accipitridae and Strigiformes : Strigidae ; nymphs and larvae have been recorded from Rodentia : Gliridae . Rhipicephalus pusillus is a rare parasite of humans.
