A controversial species treated here as Palearctic, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Mammalia (several orders); adults have also been collected from Squamata : Agamidae ; nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Passeriformes : Alaudidae . This information was obtained from Filippova (1997), who also reported human parasitism by Rhipicephalus turanicus . M: Pomerantzev et al. (1940)
