53. Rhipicephalus nitens Neumann, 1904 .

An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Lagomorpha : Leporidae . Adults and larvae have been collected from Carnivora : Canidae ; adults alone have been recovered from Perissodactyla : Equidae , while larvae alone have been taken from Galliformes : Numididae . There are no records of Rhipicephalus nitens causing human parasitism.
