An Oriental species whose adults have been found on Artiodactyla : Cervidae and Suidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis susphilippensis causing human parasitism.

Note: Hoogstraal et al. (1968a) state that Haemaphysalis susphilippensis from Luzon and Mindanao Islands ( Philippines) was confused with Haemaphysalis papuana in Kohls (1950c) and Trapido et al. (1964b), respectively.
