167. Haemaphysalis verticalis Itagaki, Noda and Yamaguchi, 1944 .
A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Sciuridae . Adults alone have been collected from Mammalia (several orders), and Passeriformes : Passeridae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis verticalis causing human parasitism.
