An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , but they have also been collected from Lagomorpha : Leporidae , Perissodactyla : Equidae , and rarely from Hyracoidea : Procaviidae . Nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Carnivora : Canidae and Felidae , Rodentia : Pedetidae , and Galliformes : Numididae , while larvae alone have been found on Rodentia : Muridae . Rhipicephalus glabroscutatus is a very rare parasite of humans.
