L: Feider (1965), Apanaskevich and Filippova (2007), Apanaskevich et al. (2010), Estrada-Peña et al. (2017) Note: several redescriptions of Hyalomma scupense exist under different names because the synonymy of this species is extensive ( Guglielmone & Nava 2014). Some authors redescribed Hyalomma scupense along with a redescription of one of its synonyms, but none of these redescriptions are included in the above lists. Our treatment of Hyalomma scupense is mainly based on Apanaskevich et al. (2010), who provide a detailed discussion of the nomenclatural problems associated with this species.
