Redescriptions
M: Neumann (1908d) , under the name Rhipicephalus cuneatus , a synonym of Rhipicephalus aurantiacus but see note below, Zumpt (1943b), Theiler (1947)
F: Zumpt (1943b), Theiler (1947)
Note: Walker et al. (2000) treat both Rhipicephalus aurantiacus and Rhipicephalus cuneatus as probable synonyms of Rhipicephalus ziemanni , but Camicas et al. (1998) and Guglielmone and Nava (2014) list Rhipicephalus cuneatus as a synonym of Rhipicephalus aurantiacus . Kolonin (2009) does not list Rhipicephalus aurantiacus as valid, nor do Walker et al. (2000). See also Rhipicephalus ziemanni for its confusion with Rhipicephalus aurantiacus .
