66. Haemaphysalis hyracophila Hoogstraal, Walker and Neitz, 1971b .

An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Hyracoidea : Procaviidae ; nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Lagomorpha : Leporidae , Macroscelidea : Macroscelididae , and Rodentia : Muridae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Horak et al. 2018). There are no records of Haemaphysalis hyracophila causing human parasitism.
