An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Carnivora : Viverridae , but they have also been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , Carnivora (several families), and Rodentia : Hystricidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis punctaleachi causing human parasitism.
