An Australasian and Oriental species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Cervidae and Suidae ; adults have also been collected from Diprotodontia : Macropodidae ; nymphs have been recovered from Suidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis rusae causing human parasitism.
