Note: Deng et al. (1999) treat Anomalohimalaya cricetuli as a synonym of Anomalohimalaya lotozkyi without providing evidence for this proposal (Guglielmone et al. 2010, 2014). Camicas et al. (1998) ignore the descriptions of the larva and nymph of Anomalohimalaya cricetuli in Teng and Jiang (1981) and others published before 1998. Teng and Jiang (1991) depict the larva of A. cricetuli as having eyes, but Filippova and Bardzimashvily (1992) state that the larva is eyeless, adding that Teng and Jiang (1991) probably confused smooth areas of the scutum with eyes. Nevertheless, Yu et al. (1997) repeated the figure in Teng and Jiang (1991) showing the larva with eyes.
