An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae and Cervidae . All parasitic stages have been collected from Mammalia (several orders), Galliformes : Phasianidae , and Passeriformes (several families); nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Aves (several orders) and, rarely, from Squamata : Colubridae and Lacertidae . Haemaphysalis concinna is a frequent parasite of humans.
