An Oriental species whose adults and nymphs have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , Suidae and Moschidae , Carnivora : Mustelidae , and Rodentia : Hystricidae ; adults alone have been collected from Artiodactyla : Cervidae , and Carnivora : Felidae ; immature stages have been recovered from Scandentia : Tupaiidae , Galliformes : Phasianidae , and Passeriformes : Paridae and Turdidae (Guglielmone et al. 2014, Kim et al. 2016). There are no records of Haemaphysalis aborensis causing human parasitism.
