An Oriental species, all stages of which are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae and Cervidae . Adults alone have been collected from Artiodactyla : Suidae , Carnivora : Canidae and Mustelidae , and Rodentia : Hystricidae . Haemaphysalis birmaniae is a very rare parasite of humans.
