An Afrotropical species whose adults and nymphs are usually found on Squamata : Boidae , but all parasitic stages, including the undescribed larva, have been collected from Boidae ; nymphs have also been recovered from Artiodactyla : Bovidae . There are no records of Amblyomma transversale causing human parasitism.
