An Oriental and Palearctic species, all of whose described parasitic stages are usually found on Lagomorpha : Ochotonidae , with records of nymphs and larvae on Rodentia : Cricetidae and Muridae , respectively. There are no records of Ixodes shahi causing human parasitism. M: unknown
