A Nearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Soricomorpha : Soricidae , but they have also been found on Rodentia : Cricetidae ; adults and nymphs have been recovered from Soricomorpha : Talpidae ; adults alone have been collected from Rodentia : Geomyidae . Ixodes soricis is a very rare human parasite.
