Note: Arthur (1965) states (page 199) that Ixodes loveridgei is known only from the holotype female and a male specimen, but Arthur (1958c) had earlier described the nymph (a specimen with a damaged dorsum) and this description is repeated in Arthur (1965, pages 197, 198).
