A Nearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Sciuridae . Adults alone have been collected from Rodentia : Erethizontidae , and nymphs alone have been recovered from Rodentia : Cricetidae . There are no records of Ixodes marmotae causing human parasitism.
